The only thing left for the entryway is to find a way to hide the central air unit that is the very first thing you see when you come in the door. Yuck! I'm thinking maybe a curtain??
Also over at Tammy's Recipes she is doing Tuesday's Kitchen Tip. So my tip for today is to make up a large batch of cinnamon sugar and store it in an air tight container or mason jar. Now you have ready made cinnamon sugar for making snickerdoodles, sprinkling on warm flour tortillas, or whatever else you want to use it for.

Or cinnamon toast. :-D
I'm assuming you need to be able to get at the unit? Too bad you can't rig up some sort of solid piece on a hinge, and then paint it with that chalkboard paint. then you'd have a place to write notes and cover up the ugliness.
Jenn, Yeah we have to be able to get to it b/c thats where the ac filter is at. I like the idea of making it into a chalkboard though. I'll have to talk to dh to see if it can be done.
The chest looks great. Very masculine for a boys room!
I love Jenn's idea with the chalkboard paint!
Good tip for cinnamon sugar. We do this too and store it in a recycled Parmesan cheese container.
I think that area might look nice with a curtain on a rod. It would be easy to rig, and maybe you could layer it, with the outside layer gathered in the middle.
Harder, but if you know how to paint, make a fake background...paint a scene on some foam board which you can hang, and would be easy to move. I think I've seen templates for sale for this sort of thing.
I like your blog...I'm trying the swiss steak tonight. I had some leftover tomato paste, so this worked out great. I'm also going to try the green beans and the Giddy Up Porkchops.
